However, hydraulic motion controllers can theoretically reduce the error to 0 or at so small there is only floating point round off error. The source of errors is the feed back resolution, the valve and mechanics.
The RMC uses mostly 32 bit floating math. This provides a mantissa with 1 in 16,000,000 resoltion. This is much better than any machinery or hydraulic precision.
Stangely, we have come across some application that move extremely slowly that require 64 bit floating point. The CPU in the RMC150 has 32 - 64 bit floating point registers.
