?Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
?Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products, services, commodities, or other subjects of sale.
?Determine price schedules and discount rates.
?Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
?Direct, coordinate, and review activities in sales and service accounting and recordkeeping, and in receiving and shipping operations.
?Confer or consult with department heads to plan advertising services and to secure information on equipment and customer specifications.
?Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
?Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs.
?Confer with potential customers regarding equipment needs and advise customers on types of equipment to purchase.
?Oversee local sales. Ensure all activities comply with relevant acts and regulations and with professional and ethical standards.
?Regularly meet with end users to highlight and resolve technical issues associated with the application of industrial consumables.
?Regularly meet client supply personnel to review operations and practices and highlight opportunities for improvement.
?Compile cost savings reports. Ensure all expenses are kept to a minimum and ways of reducing costs are examined.
?Implement all applicable Quality Assurance procedures and participate in relevant quality related functions.
?In carrying out all duties the major focus must be on providing premier customer service.
?Ensure a safe working environment by abiding with company’s Occupational Health and Safety policies.
?Any other related tasks as directed by the Sales Director.
?Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent via courses and work experience in same industry |

?Extensive experience within the hydraulic hose and fittings industry which demonstrates a high degree of technical knowledge
?Proven ability to demonstrate product application of hydraulic hose and fittings.

?Good mechanical knowledge
?Language skills: mastery of the English language, both verbal and written
?Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
?Ability to communicate with impact
?Interprovincial travel may required
?The incumbent may be required to be on call |
No. 2 Production Supervisor
Job Description
?Responsible for the day to day co-ordination of material, equipment, manpower and quality across department
?Required to meet all scheduled requirements as well as liaise closely with all support departments such as engineering, quality and safety.
?Adjust staffing and machine assignments to achieve optimal flow and efficiency
?Conferring with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments and units
?Develop employee involvement to ensure every employee is a partner in the business
?Develop and manage training plans for operators and support personnel for the team
?Lead, coach and participate on teams to accomplish individual, departmental and divisional objectives
?Develop and document procedure revisions for assigned areas
?Implement procedures in all production functions to meet and maintain certification systems standards
?Identify areas of inefficient operation and implement improvements
?Implement Lean Manufacturing Techniques
Specific requirements / experience for this position:
?Experience in a manufacturing engineering environment as a production supervisor with exposure to lean and an excellent mechanical and technical aptitude as familiarity with machining will be highly regarded
?Demonstrate strong leadership characteristics and a motivation to succeed
?Solid problem solving and decision making skills
?Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize and manage projects, as well as day to day responsibilities
?Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact across various functions (Engineering, Supply Chain etc.) and at all levels of the organization
